Entering into this award was a little tricky as we were not sure on how the judges would conduct the judging process. We were not sure how we get across the local nature of what we do. We think the judges visit your premises unannounced and make their decision on what they see. We are not good at shouting about what we do and therefore may not have had the labelling right in the shop to indicate how many local products are used.
As you can see we were short listed as finalists. Chloe, Dom and myself Annette scrubbed up and put on our best with a bit of lippie, well except Dom, and made our way to Hatherley Manor. We were treated to a fantastic evening, met Valerie Singleton and Phil Vickery who hosted and watched the best of Gloucestershire receive their awards. We felt humbled when hearing of the massive efforts given by the Cotswold Chef for his Wiggly Worm campaign and cheered his lifetime achievement award. Congratulations to so many worthy winners of which we were chuffed to be part of the evening.
